oh sorry my fault....i just wrote down what its called...i was wondering how to change it...sorry about that. i have a pump where i can suck it out then put fresh fluid in but is that good enough. thanks for any comments.

Well...now that I understand what you are saying it is easier to answer accurately. I would flush the entire system. Here is how the Ford Helms Manual basically says to proceed ( assuming you aren't installing a reman pump and also making it SC specific.)

1) Disconnect the LP hose (return line) to the PS Pump.
2) Place the disconnected end of the LP return line into a reservior and plug the return line connection on the PS Pump.
3) Jack up the front of the car to get the wheels off the ground.
4) Disconnect the electrical connector to the crank sensor.
5) Refill the PS Pump reservoir.
While adding about .5 gallons of new Type F ATF turn the Igntion Key to ON and then crank the engine with the starter while turning the steering wheel from left to right.
6) When all the fluid has been added turn Ignition Key to OFF and reconnect the the crank sensor electrical connection.
7) Remove the plug from the PS Pump return line connector and reattach the LP return line to the pump.
8) Place the car back on the ground.
9) Recheck and fill PS reservior as required.
