1989 supercoupe auto with 273 gears, kn filter, and a dynomax catback, it ran a 15.308@88.7mph with a 2.177 60 ft on street tires, what do you guys think of these times? also ran at full weight

Decent time, but are you sure you have 2.73 gears? Those never came in an auto.

good job for first time at the track. Next time you go pay attention where you shift. I used to shift at 5200 but some people need to shift higher. I would try 5200 and go higher from there until you run slower. Also, your short times are pretty good but you can get some 2.0's out of her. Also get rid of spare tire and jack and anything else floating around in your car, every 100 lbs is .1 in the quarter. Try lowering the rear tire pressure to about 30 lbs and raise front tires to 45 lbs. Also try to lock the ARC in soft ride for the best launch, unplug arc connections when in soft ride. Also the most important thing when running your car, make sure it is completely cooled off, ice down IC and Top after every pass. That alone is good for up to .25.

From your times it looks like your exhuast is to restrictive. My first run in my sc got me a 2.3 and a 16.3. Now after exhuast and a little work no mods except for the 70mm off of a late model sc i can get down into mid to high 14s depending on my reaction and run a 2.1 60ft time .

Just a quick FYI, but your reaction time has no effect on your ET, but it does help if you are running a faster car and kill him on the tree. I just love seeing those "fast" cars having to run me down when I put up a .5XX on them while they are leaving with a big fat .7xx or higher.

Yeah guess your right, didnt really think about it. It is fun to freak those guys out in the first part of the quarter.
