Pulled the s/c off my car and found out the seal was shot. I'm trying to get the snout off but I don't how to hold the pulley while I remove the nut. Any tips on how to do this? Thanks

I guess you will

A STRAP WENCH MIGHT WORK, OR A PIPE WRENCH WITH RAGS, I DID IT ON THE ENGINE AND HELD THE BELT TIGHT.............FAST FREDDIE:rolleyes: ;)

Since you've already taken it off the car ... air gun would be my recommendation.

How to hold it?

I used a pipe wrench , but first I wrapped the pulley with several layers of bike inner tube. The inner tuber enhanced the grip and protected the pulley from any gouges. It holds like a champ. On different occassions I used an impact wrench and a regular rachet with a long handle.

When you get it off you can buy a quick change pulley set
that are made from aluminum from BTM.Dont have the
web address.

You can change them in about 10min.

Damn, glad I finally got around to asking. Hadn't even thought of some of those things. Thanks for the help everyone. I'll go give it another try.
