Chirping?

I've just recently bought an 89' SC 5-speed and it's pretty hard to resist chirping second...

My question is: Is constant chirping good/bad/harmless? Why?

Thanks.

chirp

Yeah, It is pretty fun chirping second, the more fun thing would be to chirp third and fourth...never got fourth. I would imagine that the stress on the clutch and components, along with the rear, and the motor/tranny mounts would suffer a little along with your tire tread. But, if you have the time to fix any of those, i say chirp away!

really bad for

engine mounts (rips them)
differential mounts ( will collapse)
tires (they wear out :p )
half-shafts (loosesns CV joints)
differential ( bearing wear)
U-joints ( wears needles bearings)
clutch (disk abuse)
you ( tickets :D )

basically if you keep doing it, the car will loosen up ( stress chassis and drivetrain), but engine mounts are usually the first to go, if you keep driving like that the oil pan gets a hole in it:D ( unless you luck out and blow a syncro ;) )
