cam button

I need to know what the name for that freeze plug at the back of the motor where the camshaft goes. I tried camshaft freeze plug and they gave me one to small.

So what do you call this and does anyone know the size.

Thanks and I can't wait to get all pieces and stop worring if I am going find what I need to finish this rebuild.

it's just called a cam plug as far as i've ever known , and i've been selling auto parts for 20 years now. If the one their parts book shows is the wrong size just take your old one in as a sample, or it should say the size on it. If you lost your old one measure the size, they should be able to go by demensions even if the application listing is wrong

I believe it is 2 1/2 inch. Its a cam plug/button. You can get them any any machine shop.
