Hello,
I have a 91 5spd.
I need to remove the hydro line from the tranny and need to find out if I need a special tool to take it off?
Can I purchase this tool from a local auto parts store?
Kragen, Napa etc...
Thanks,
D Rainer

Just work that plastic sleeve in all the way around with a short screwdriver. When it's as far in as you can work it without force wiggle in and out on the line while keeping the sleeve pressed in and it will eventually pop out. Just be patient and don't try to force anything and it will be undamaged. It just snaps back in, though you may have to relieve the pressure if the throwout bearing is pressed back any on install before the line will push back on.

spray a little brake cleaner in there first, then youll see the white plastic sleeve thats gotta be pushed. then spray a little wd-40, and work the white sleeve in toward the tranny, then pull

Yeah, I lost patience and clipped it. After I cooled off I was a little disappointed with myself.

Are new ones still available?

Chris

I bought one from the Snap On truck.

Made by OTC N0. 7646

Cost around 10 bucks. Have not used it yet. But I am ready.
