k i have no clue what it is, when my car is cold and u tapp the gas or bring the revvs up the engine produces a clunking noise or tapping sound, sorta like metal is taping on metal, and when its just idling (cold) it makes a clunking sounds now and then.... but after about 5 min of having the car on it goes away.... what is this....

btw it sounds like its coming from the front or driver side of the engine, but i could be wrong....

I dont want the car to crap out when im criving it cause i usually use it for long trips.... so anythign u guys know could help me out

thanks soo much

May or may not be serious.

Next step you should take would be to find if it coming from the top end or the bottom end of the engine. From what you describe, it almost sounds like main or rod bearing. Once they heat up, and expand, the oil quiets the racket. I may be wrong, but if it were mine, I would probably pull the engine and rebuild it before something lets go.
