cooling fan sensor

Depending on the year...

If you look right behind the DIS module on the front passenger side of engine. The is a almost vertical plug next to the oil filler tube, that is the coolant temp sensor (aka ECT). This tells the EEC the temp of the coolant, also helps regulate fuel to engine and signals the EEC so the EEC can turn on the cooling fan at a given temp.

Thanks, that is the one that I thought it was. A friend on mine told me that the sensor that is next to the thermostat would be the one that controls the cooling fan. I think that is the one that runs the temp guage.

What is the sensor that is on the passenger side of the engine just below that exhaust manifold? I haven't been able to find it in the manual.

could be behind the passenger headlight this part is also know as the intergrated relay control module
