When I go to start my car, it just keeps cranking and it won't actually turn over. What could be some of the causes for this? Any and all comments are welcomed.
Thanks

Do you mean it doesn't fire at all?

If your upshift light stays on while the starter is turning the engine over it is likely not getting a signal from the crank position sensor. This could be just a bad sensor, or it could be a broken crank damper bolt, or broken damper.

Check to see if the bolt head is still there, and watch the crank pulley to see if it wobbles while someone tries to start the car.

Or you could be out of gas, or have a dead fuel pump. Can you hear the pump whirring if the key is switched on but not switched to start? when the ignition switch is turned to run, the pump should run for 10 seconds or so to pressurize the system. This could be the relay, or the inertia switch in the trunk.
