Just finished installing the 3.27 rear end, new hubs, new transmission crossmember in my car last night, took it out for a test run and HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!! I was expecting a difference but....MAN OH MAN, If I would have known the difference it was going to make I would've given my left nut a year ago to do this.
Anyone with a 5-speed with the factory rear end, I would make this your top priority for your next upgrade. <b>It feels like a full second or more off of the quarter mile</b>
Before, if I ever lost any races it was in third and forth gear were the race was lost, NO MORE. Going into 3rd it is very very strong pulling hard all the way through and the same for 4th. Cruizing on the HWay in 5th the rpm's of the motor running about 400 rpms higher than with the 2.73's but not bad at all. It's where it reallly should be.
Why oh why did they not come like this.
