Anyone out there mind posting an article on doing the headgaskets. I'd really appreciate it as it looks like my 91 sc just blew it hg's. Lots of white smoke and water out of muffler, no
water in oil yet though. I've looked at all 28 pages of threads and haven't seen any threads on this. I'm not a great mechanic but I've got a couple of friends that are decent who would help me.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well first of all, I would not recommend that you keep running the engine. If you let enough coolant into the cylinders you'll hydraulic them. Water doesn't compress like air, so other parts (like connecting rods) bend. Like this:

And this car still ran after the headgaskets were replaced, but no one knew why it had a slight knock. I tore the motor down after I got the car and found that!
