I'm sure sorry to hear this, I think most everyone can relate. People really are losers.

I was at a stop sign a couple years ago when a girl in an old Cavalier came barreling around the apex onto the road I was on, in a 25 MPH residential zone, hit me on the rear quarter and just kept going. I chased her down after a couple miles, and pulled in behind her in her driveway.

Many expletives later, I took her tag # and called the police. They cited her for leaving the scene( she admitted to that), but at that point, the cop told me, although he believed my story that she came completely over to my side of the road, he couldn't get her on anything else since it was my word vs hers ( she initially said I was on HER side of the street!) as to what happened.

The best part was when the cop went back to the scene and saw the 50 feet of 6 inch wide black tire marks leading right to the far side (my side) of the road. Her brakes locked as she tried to scrub off speed into me. He took photos, and then promptly went back to her house and cited her with 2 more tickets. (excessive speed and careless driving).

Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you.

Good luck Don.

How bad Don? Was it the 95? Call me if you need help with anything, I know a place that can fix it perfectly and most importantly possibly before Carlisle.

That does suck.
One time I was sitting at a stop light with my friend in the passenger seat, in my dads car, waiting for the light to turn green. A mustang came screaming up from behind me and he didn't see that the light was red until too late. He slammed on his brakes and plowed into the rear of my car. He immediately put his car in reverse and tried to get away, but our bumpers were locked and he was just sitting there burning rubber off his tires. I got out to speak with him, and he was begging me not to call the police. He had a cute girlfriend who came over to me smiling and flirting and she was trying to persuade me not to call the police.
I just looked at my friend and said, "Run, run as fast as you can and get the cops".
Eventually had to take him to court to get him to pay for the repairs.

i can sure relate to this...... last year some ******* keyed my car on both sides with a screwdriver or some other very sharp and very thick object (it went down into the metal and gouged it all the way down the door) both sides were keyed on the door only.....the body shop painted both sides end to end and fixed the rusty rockers that i was gonna have done that summer anyway... i still had to pay $1300 out of pocket but the ins co at least covered $1100 (key damage was estimated at $1600, rest was to fix holes in rocker panals and repaint gfx)

Puh-lease.

None of you have anything to complain about. Compare my: car hit five times while it was parked; 3 power antennas twisted into oragami; Pathfinder backing up over the hood; soda poured all over paint; moron 16 year old driver with a 1-DAY old license making left turn in front of 50mph traffic; graffitti written on hood in black marker; "scratchitti" on the trunk; car broken into (thank you, kill switch!); hell, even buying 4 brand new BFG VR4s and driving 10' out of the parking lot of the tire place and running over a screw... you get the idea.

Boy, I miss it! :)

...And that was just between 8 and 10 a.m. on his first day of ownership.

Russ...seriously, by an army tank. :)

damn, you know what I do. park in the middle of nowhere, but not too far that idiot cars drving across the parking lot will hit my car, but just enough so no one will park next to it. Being under a light also helps at night.

1.)Idiots tried to steal mine by boring out a hole in my trunk where the keyhole used to be. I could fit my entire fist in the hole. My friend came home from a late night of partying and surprised them and they ran off!
2.)Old man backed into my car in the parking lot where I used to work. (On the very damn night before my twin-brother arrived 2,200 miles to see my SC for the first time.)
3.)Kid ran into the back of my SC going 60mph in a 25mph zone. I wound up with a cracked bellhousing, bent bumper and messed up driveshaft! This somehow caused the front bearings to fail. The insurance paid for everything, but:
Two engines and three tranny's later I wound up with a fixed car, but a salvage title!

Some people just simply SUCK!!!
