I have been saving cash for my goal of 12's one hundred dollars at a time, and I was halfway to my goal of 10K+ when I ran across a '94 SC automatic with brand new looking leather, new tires, women owned, 100K miles:( , white in color, and in excellent condition! (except the miles!) The lady offered to sell it to me for $3,500 and it is an offer that I cannot refuse! I will have to put my mods on hold for now. How much is this car worth???
I can't decide whether or not to modify the '91SC AOD or the '94SC AOD??? Does anyone on this board have a good opinion???/:confused:

Sell the '94 for what you can and dump the cash in the '91.

That's what I would do if I were building up an SC. Not worth building it up if you see the day that you're going to want your money back out of it.

You might as well keep the '91, because for what it's worth to a buyer is probably less than it would be worth to you to fix up and have fun in.. You can make a '91 look just like a '94 for cheap.. (as long as you have a buddy in the autobody business)

You'd get less for mod money out of the '91 but you'd have the newer interior.. so that would be a plus I guess..

My opninion as always..

Ive owned an 89, 91 and 94 SC

all autos..The 94 by far being my favorite

You start off with a more modern looking car
A better motor
And a better tranny (when working right haha)

A better blower..better interior

Ehh many reasons I like the 94..Looks aside it sa more refined SC

Sell the old one..The newer ones worth more :O)

I'm keeping the '91 being that I have been through hell and back in it and it has also lasted through both marriges! LOL! I will be modifying one for my quarter mile shuttle, and I will let my wife drive the other to work.
I am leaning toward modifying the '91 and driving the '94 being that it has dual air-bags and that "stock" luxury feeling!

My thoughts exactly, if we buy another. I want her to have the air bags. I love my '91, it isn't as refined and I love that. You've got a red '91, it's all good DB! '91's more aggressive looking, use it for the build up, put the wife in the more cushy car. You could add LSD to the list of mod's for that '94 also. Swap the blowers and build the '91. Heads too? Hmmm...I envy your problem! ;)

Not too mention you get no posi traction with the 94.

I actually witnessed a 94 Auto make 332RWHP on the STOCK shortblock. I've never seen a pre-94 car make that much without forged pistons or rods. Just another thing to consider.

I definately agree in building the older one. Not too many differences motor/tranny wise between the two, but the stylings of the newer style have my vote. Also, now that I stop to think about it, It would almost seem like the 94/95 birds have a more happier style to them, they don't look as agressive. In my case, I'm building an elegant, refined sleeper, capable of pimpin, and tearin new @ssholes to unsuspecting prey.

i just think the new ones look too much like a base LX. Doesn't really look mean at all.

Hmm never had anyone say my SC looks like a base Lx..Sure doesnt sound like one..Of course its all a matter of taste...If your building a track only car..hell why not gut the older one and make it just that/A track car..If your going to be driving it daily..Ahh the 94 is the way to go..And Ford changed many things on the 94/95 as compared to the earlier SC's..Both inside..outside..And engine wise internal external..Whatever you deciede to do goodluck...Just in my opinion you neverget back the money you invest in a car..Might as well invest it in one thats worth more from the beginning

Well,
Since I plan on basicly punishing the one I modify, I will likely go with the '91. I did not realize that the '94 has no posi trac rear end, but that really does not matter so much because I will be changing out the pumpkin anyway to the one I modify. (good point though).
My wife will leave my '91 the heck alone now that I will be giving her a '94 to drive to work. I am beginning to like this arrangement more and more. This is really one hell of a deal!

I dunno man! I know this will sound totally crazy, but there is a 89-93 Titanium SC AOD down the road from me for $600.00!!! The interior is creme leather, but it is rough. It also has a hole in the hood about the size of a quarter. I don't know how that happened. It actually runs, but needs mild work. If anyone wants to know the location just let me know!;) dirtybird91@hotmail.com

DB, ever notice that the some of the fatsest SC's out there right now are older ones ? Jim D, Cris W -1990 , Dave N. -1991 ( i know his new one is a 93, but not on record yet !) for what you are shooting for, that's not bad company !! I'd keep both too ! When you go sinking more money into the '91 it will help to have a wife who understands exactly why!:p

I hear ya man!:D For some strange reason I totally agree with modifying the '91 as opposed to the '94, and I can't really explain my reasoning. It is interesting to know that the record holders are the older ones!
The '94 is a lot nicer than my '91 when you take the interior and air bags into consideration. It just makes more sence to keep it clean!
