I removed the IC and the tubes Tubes about 6-8 months ago for a cleaning, except there was no oil in them..well very little that time...

I was doing the water pump this weekend and had to get the power steering pump puilly back on and the puller set I had woudln't fit, so off with the IC...

This time there was a good little puddle of that crap in there...

Can anyone shed any light on why last time it was so clean, and now I have a puddle???

I don't see how that can be good at all.

How does oil get in ther anyways????

Just some possibilities.......

Did you change the PCV valve recently? The oil finds its way into the IC via the connection from the PCV to the intake. This is normal. If there was no oil in the IC before, you may have had a clogged PCV, or maybe a vacuum leak somewhere that allowed the oil to blow out..... (just an uneducated guess)
Either way, don't sweat it.....

If you did change the PCV valve, did you get the right one?

I need to change mine, again, because the new one leaks. I'm pretty sure they gave me the NA version (not designed for boost)
