Cooler Fan

The cooling fan is not working properly. I have checked other threads and done the following:

1) Fusable link is OK, power to IRCM is good
2) Installed a different IRCM unit
3) Installed a different fan unit
4) Installed a different ECT sensor
5) Checked the power coming out of the IRCM to the fan connector - volt meter indicated no power, reconnected the fan, the fan would come on with AC after warm-up

- What else can I check?
- Is it possible that 2 IRCM units are bad?

I would prefer not cutting the wiring harness.

TIA

Cooling Fan Update

I have bought a new ECT sensor, no change when installed. If I disconnect the plug to the ECT sensor the fan runs and the Check Engine light comes on.

With the ECT connected, the fan will come on after the temperture gauge is fully pass the "M". Is does not stay on long and the gauge drops slightly.

When I remove the ECT connector the temp will drop to the "R".

The fan will not run when the AC or Defrost is on.

What else could be preventing the low speed fan from coming on?

Thanks,

Duane
