Prices For EGR Tube and Special Silicon Hose

Hi gang!

This evening as I was cleaning parts and getting things ready for reassembly after having my head gaskets blow on me, I discovered that my EGR tube was broken near where the flexible portion meets the rigid steel tube. Also, that little piece of heat resistant silicon hose had cracked where it went on to the EGR valve, and no longer will stay in place.

Has anyone priced these parts out recently? I thought I remembered Les Borda talking about these lately?! Must I buy them from Ford or do some of the jobbers have these parts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think the EGR tube retailed for something like 90 bucks when the guys at Noyz Boyz discovered where my racket was coming from. Never check the price with Fast Eddie. One of the guys out West paid something 50 bucks for the POS silicon tube from Ford.

Sounds like you're dead on...

Eastgate Ford tells me list on these parts is about $90 for the tube and $50 for the silicone hose.

I think I may try to weld up the tube before I resign myself to replacing it. I don't know what I can do about the hose without actually getting a replacement.
