I am dropping my baby off tomorrow night to replace my melted cats with new hi-flows, and I am getting the exhaust done from the collectors to the flange behind the resonator. I already have the Flowmaster cat-back on the car (sounds like crap with the factory resonator still in too).
I was thinking about the Magnaflow res, but was also thinking about using a dual inlet, single outlet Dynomax or Flowmaster Muffler in it's spot. If I cannot find anything, I am going to go without the resonator, but am afraid how it will sound.
I have read that using a couple of glass pack type mufflers helps with the ricey sound, but what about a cross-over tube of some sort?
I would prefer just a 2.25" dual inlet, single 2.5" or 3" outlet muffler, and I even found a Flowmaster unit, but it is too long (23") to fit in the stock location.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Phil
