19th/20th July Meet Dates ~ SUGGESTIONS ~

Who can make a MEET in HOUSTON, if the dates were 19/20 July. With the possibility or having a Picnic/BBQ/Drag, etc. within the grounds of the Houston Raceway Park. Those details are being worked out by Jeff(J57ltr). Thanks Jeff.

BTW, I just got my exhaust in and I'm dropping the SC off at the shop on monday for the install... so it might be fixed by then.

I’m going to call HRP later this week and see what’s up for the 19-20. I should have the car up and running by then, but since the shop lost my valves, retainers, locks and springs I am sweating it a little. I really don’t want to drive my car further than Baytown since it will probably be the first time out and it is an SC and all. I am also going to see if I can get my wrecker buddy to come out incase we break down.

Yeah, nice distance. I had to get towed from 290 out near Kickapoo all the way back home at the end of may. Was not fun.
Going in for a job interview right now, so hopefully I'll have my spindles done by the meet.

Yes, I will be there. I've lived in Houston all my life, just moved to College Station for college but family is still here so I come back for summer. I just got a job at the local Academy. SO hopefully they will pay me enough soon enough so that I can get my spindles done before the meet. I've put probably 300 miles on her since they told me they would need replacing soon a month ago.

He is/was going to VA Tech, but here for the summer. He is getting a Black/Gray 91 5spd going for himself. Pic is our 90 car I bought the last time y'all met and I couldn't make it, towing home in little pic to left.

How are the details for the meet coming along?? whats the head count?

I picked my SC up on wednesday almost finished... Everything is good and i'm not having the same problem anymore, but now i have a different problem. The EGR fitting on the header did not line up with the EGR line from the engine, so they were not connected. I had the header EGR capped off, and i get the Check Engine light. Maybe we can try to come up with a solution at the meet.
BTW... have you ever heard $2,000 worth of exhaust on an SC?? WOW
