GTAMC picnic at Ford Oakville HQ, Sunday, June 22

Hey guys

I just had a phone call from Fab Fiocco, the president of the GTA Mustang Club. He is trying to find out how many SCCoO members are planning on attending their show / picnic at the Ford HQ in Oakville, on Sunday June 22. If there are enough T-Birds coming, they will do a separate class for us with a trophy.

Sorry, but my life was getting in my way of posting. I can't always stay right on top of the board. Most days on my lunch I get a chnce to look at it, but during the weekends, it's hard for me sometimes, this weekend was one of those for me.......

The GTAMC guys were thinking that if we had around 10 - 12 people from SCCoO who would be attending for sure with their cars, they would do a separate trophy for us. But since it looks like we have only about 6 confirmed and some more maybes at this point, I've told Fab to not worry about a separate class. We will still be eligible to compete in the "other Fords" category that they usually have.

Seriously though, we should all try and attend if possible. I'm currently working on a support request letter that will be sent to Ford of Canada's executive subject to review from Rapblaster ED. If we can show some strength in numbers they will take us seriously and offer promotions , special offers and freebies.

To the new members; A few years ago , I along with one other person attended the launch of the the new TBird barbque party outside of Ford's headquarters in Dearborn. Ford took care of us with a complimentary Polo shirt, Model replica and 2 days of open bar, lunch and dinner. But only two of us committed to this event which was the finest event that I've participated in. They have budgets for promotions, all we have to do is politely ask.

So may I suggest that we get the shop vacs and car polishers busy and make a good impression for the show.

Please reserve the excuses for not showing up for some other time. Oakville is not very far away.
