Alright, ive been searchin the tech and non tech boards, not to much on what Im asking so I figured id bug you guys with it.

in my 90 SC i have the stock stock crap stock setup for radio and what not
the crappy tape deck, nothing else

now this is what i want to know

my parts car has the"JBL" sound system,
the class up stock deck,
the cd player (stock) where the slot infront of the shifter is.
the JBL speakers
the JBL sub

now are the 4 JBL speakers in the car powerd by a amp, or is the Sub the only thing powered by a amp? and how many watts are the Amp(s).

Will I have any problems setting up the JBL stock sub with it?

Bruce I think it's a hole diffent harnes for the JBL amp. as well the JBL spekers do have a small amp just like the premium system does.

I forgot to ask to sit in your car at the last meet jason, Id like to hear the stock JBL system in working order before i swap it into my car, all you have changed is the deck right? if you dont mind, next time at a meet or what not if i could listen to it.

Sure you can but if your going to go to all that work buy an amp and a sub that can make real base. I listen to Z 103.5 and a lot of there news reports they have add base and on level one it just sounds like a big thud.:(

Bruce my '90 has the JBL sound system. I think it was great for a stock set up. I had my MP3 player in there, until it blew up. Thats all I would to agian, just add a nice deck.

The amp I think runs the sub only. The 4 speakers are pretty good. But as Jason said, y not look into a 10" or 8", add some kick to it. Or buy those 4 12" free airs off Scott, there cool too.;)
