I know that Rick down in Delhi(Katoom) has done it a few times.

Nate,
I just had mine replaced on Saturday. Wasn't a bad job at all. As far as where the oil was leaking, on mine you could see oil on the nose of the sc and down the waterpump. Chicago Rawhide part # 7968 will get the job done. Good luck.

P.S. While we are on the subject does anyone out there know where you can pick up the little retainer that holds the nose seal in?

The CR seal listed is the right one. I doubt the oil on the back of your intake is S/C oil. The oil inside there only lubes the drive gears and 4 bearings inside the front part of the charger. The rear of the two rotors are supported by two needle bearings, that contain grease. They are similar to rear alternator bearings.

If you need a hand replacing the seal, I could probably help you out if you wanted to come down some night during the week. The whole job takes about an hour.

You will need:

2 bottles of GM Supercharger fluid. If you just filled it up with all new stuff I woudn't worry about it.
1 CR Seal # 7968. They are about 15.00 and can be purchased at any bearing and seal store.
I have all the tools to do the job easily.

If you need a hand, send me an E-mail at barkbuster@sympatico.ca

Rick.
