finally finished putting in motormounts..swapped transmission with a working overdrive ,port manifolds..what a differents..lays rubber again...but what a bitch..trying to get the throttle cable bracket back on.. not to mention the vacume hoses ... the mounts really closed the gap ...against the fire wall..and the motor sit aleast a inch higher..used to be easy to work on ..sitting so low..but ..I'm really happy with the results..no more vibration above 3000 rpm ..which I figure is what took out my harmonic balancer ....and broke the bolt ..flying down the hwy at 4000 rpm plus ..due to know overdrive...and bad motor mounts...also noticed since motor mounts were so bad ..engine had a lean to it and the oil level..was not ..well level ..and with new mounts ..the oil level is way above the normal level ..sure that was good for the seals in the block ....now time to finish doing exhaust ...took stock right hand catalitic converter ...cut the inlet off and welded a 2" 90*bend ellbow to it..grinded down the outlet to 2" and welded a 2" to a 2"1/4 adaptor to it ..and put it on the right hand side to get rid of that ugly looking cork thing thats stock ... still have to make one for the right hand side ...which brings me to a question ..I was looking through a Canadain tire 2003 cataloge ..and seen a terminator muffler for a mustang 2" x2 1/4"
inlet and 3 inch out let I think it was...for 79.00 dollars ...anyone try using one of these ? ... dave
