Just finshed changing the rear end in my car from 3.27's to 3.08's and my first opinion is great. Very nice to work on a car that hasn't seen winter every bolt came out like it was a 2003 model!! 3.27's have a little more kick on the hwy but I have a first gear again that is useable. (even feels quicker off the line because I'm not shifting so quick) Now I have to get some time and get the other goodies installed they should give me my 5th gear grunt back. :D Eric

Eric,

That's great! So when can I pick up those 3.27's??? :D

Are you going to get that MP stuff on the car so we can see what it does on the dyno? Bill's trying to set something up for next week.

Best regards,

Sean

Sean,

We'll have to get squared away regarding the gears next time we meet up.

Let me know,

Hey Sean,

The 3.27's are ready anytime. I actually was going to send you a PM at the same time that I posted this but got taken away from my desk while I was typing it. I may be able to make it down next week if there is a meet. One thing about the rear end, now that I have the new gears in-the car is quieter? Hard to notice because of the drone that my car has on the hwy but defineatly quieter. If you were planning on redoing the gears anyways I have quite a few extra parts that could come in handy too that I can bring down for you. I should have an extra tranny gear as well, I think when I got them I had to buy two.

Not too sure if I'll have the MP stuff on by next week, I am probably going to start on Sunday. Hopefully I can have it changed in a couple of nights working on it.

I will be in for a dyno night for sure once they are installed!

Talk to you soon, Eric

Eric,

No worries!

I was planning to take that rearend in to be checked and have the pinion and axle seals replaced anyways. I might get the clutch packs done at the same time, just so I know they're fresh. I will definitely need the appropriate speedo gear, so if you've got a spare then that would be great. I think I'll replace the speed sensor at the same time, since I hear they like to break when you try to remove them from the tranny to get at the speedo gear.

I'll try to touch base with you about hooking up next week.

Best regards,

Sean
