Anyone have front tbird emblem?

After waxing my car for the last time last year I hit the emblem at the front with the buffer. Sure enough it broke off one of the wings. Anyone have one of these for sale? Tbird emblem on front of hood.

If i am not mistaken there was one on ebay a few days ago. i forget what i typed in to get it up. Just search around and it might coe up somewhere. Hope this helps.

I have an extra one I was gonna make into a magnet for my toolbox but you could have it if you really need it dude.

I've got an extra too. I think one of the threaded studs is broken off, but you could use butyl tape to put it back in place.

I wonder how much Ford wants for one of these?

If I had to bet, I'd say $40-$60 depending on their status.

Mine doesn't like to stay in anymore, so I'd be interested to know.

Thanks Ron and Sean, Ron if yours doesn't need any butyl tape I wouldn't mind buying it from you. Maybe I could meet up with you at next weeks meet I should be there to bring Sean his rear end.

I actually held the one wing on with butyl tape for a few weeks before it took flight on a high speed run. :cool: I was going to buy one from Ford but I think that I could put a tank of gas in my car for the price of a new one.

Eric it is still attached to the hood. any suggestions on how to remove it without breaking it?

Ron,

If you pop the hood, you should find that the emblem is mounted via three threaded studs which have nuts on the inside lip of the hood. If the emblem has never been removed since it was originally installed at the factory, then you should only need to remove the three small nuts in order to lift the emblem from the hood.
