?? Diff MF switch for auto headlight ??

I have a 90 SC and put the auto headlight controls from an 89 LX in it. I keep seeing that the MF switch is different. What's different? Does it effect the auto dimming or what?

Actually I haven't driven my car at night since putting the auto setup in so I don't know whether the auto dim works or not. The auto on/off does.

1989 - 1991 use a different mult-function switch, depending on whether or not it has auto-headlamp dimmer. Not sure what the exact difference is though.
