Sold the Old Girl

Hey guys, just wanted to say that we sold our 90 SC. I miss it all ready! You guys were great with all the tips and stuff, had lots of fun with my SC but they are getting scary we never know when the head gasket or something more serious is going to go, so we decided to sell it. Plus I got an 86 S10 long bed pickup it has a 350, 400 turbo trans, and a 410 posi. Yes I know it's a Chevy! I will have fun with that, They are so easy to work on I can actually reach the spark plugs! I will still always love my thunderbirds though, but this won't be the last of me I will get another SC soon, hopefully. It was really fun meeting all you guys up at Carlisle and well I guess this is goodbye for now. Good luck with everybody and your cars!!

I guess after SC of the Month, it was all down hill from there. ;)
Why were you worried about head gaskets? Lots of SC's with a lot of miles on the original HG's. :confused:

Yes it's true we sold our car, I really miss it now!:( haha. We might be coming up to Maple Grove on sunday thats if it doesn't rain. We sold it for $3100. Least it went to a good home, some guy from maryland bought who is nuts about Fords. We sold it because it had alot of miles on it and it's a time bomb. So we sold it while it was still running and healthy instead of paying some guy $1000 to fix the Hg's.No offense, it's just that SC's are so expensive to get horspower out of, and we don't have the money to do that.

Hi JD,

Katy and I will be at Maple Grove on Sunday ( umbrellas apply )

We miss our car but thought it was time to move on. Don't
worry though, it'll only be a matter of time before we find
another one. This time I'll do it up differently then the last one.

Hey by the way, look for us in our new project - a 1995
white V-8 LX.

Katy has the S-10 project going on and I'll have this 1995
until another SC comes along. :D

well katy and john good luck with both of your projects. looks like the ford nats was washed away this weekend. saw on the webpage that they are rescheduling it for a later time. well see yeahs around and take care
