Well I ran the Cat in the Southen Alberta Street car shootout today. My class was under 8 hot street, or some chit like that. Essentailly as long as it had fewer than 8 cylinders it was legal . . . slick tubs, power adders. The good news is that I placed second. I lost in the final to a 12 second Fiero. My best was a 15.262 @ 90.91 MPH . . . damn MPH dissappearing on me again . . . although I did run a 15.290 at 92.xx I was cutting 2.2xx short times . . . and having to get off the throttle in first due to the wheel hop. As to how my 15 second car placed second . . . . the weather was so so and the hitter six cylinder cars (the GN boys) did not make the trip from the city (Calgary) out to the stix. Fuel pump injectors MAF and DR's should be going on the car this week . . . 14's here I come.

Second place!... excellent Dave.

What's the elevation at that track?

The Elevation in Medicine Hat is 2300 feet. NHRA correction factors for that altitude are .9731 so the 15.262 would correct to a 14.85 and the MPH factor is 1.0283 with my MPH correction being 93.4. The correction factors where taken from the Buick T-Type site http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/misc/altitude.html, but can be found at other places on the web.
