Smoke!

I have just rebuilt and replaced the s/c. I started up the car after it had been sitting for at least six months. It eventually started, but it smoked like a son-of-a-gun out of the exhaust pipes. Is the smoke because it has sat for so long, or does it indicate that there is another problem? Can the injectors out of whack? Do I have a leak in the supercharger? What could cause all the smoke?

Did it go away after a bit of run time? If it did it probably is just because it has set. Otherwise, what color is the smoke? Any times it stops smoking? How's it run otherwise?

I ran it for approximately 5 minutes after I got it started. It didn't respond well to the accelerator. It wanted to die. My garage filled with smoke and I had to shut it off.

If it sat for that long then it may just be water in the gas. Try to add more gas to the tank or put in a gas dryer. Was the only reason it was down was because of the blower or did something else go wrong?
