Amber ABS light comes on and stays on.....have done search and cannot find reference to ABS light only staying lit.....no hard pedal or obvious changes in brakeing,fluid and pads are ok ......any ideas?

try getting some abs codes read. i would check the wheel sensors first and make sure they are clean or you can be like me and need a whole new master cylander(my mechanic ran the code reader and it turned up as the accuator). i have been driving around for 10 months with the light on. my brakes work just fine but i have no abs at the moment.
