i found all the torque specs and i feel like im asking a dumb question but why do all of them say for example...................

"33 to 45 ft lbs "

do they mean first tighten all of them to 33, then do them all to 45? or do they mean in between that?

thx for the help guys

From what i gained from the Chiltons it is 35 TO 45 unless otherwise noted in a specific order(for example). As for such as head gaskets etc; where as they are to be in a specific order. Kind of like the lower and upper IC tubes. I forget the specs but they are between lbs. like you stated.

haynes manual

That mean it is the acceptable range, anything between 33 and 45ft lb. is fine. Under 33 is to weak and over 45 is to tight.
Good luck

On a side note, Chiltons is a fair manual for these cars. I would invest in a FOMO service manual and/or a Helms manual, better information for the DIY'ers!

Cheers,
Calvin
