Welcome to the club...not much to joining, just get into the chit chat. Check out the other posts on where the next meet may be.

I believe we've been talking about moroso motorsports park in west palm beach. If you have a pic or web site of your car post it on here and we'll get it on the website.

The website address is in my signature underneath this post

Since you're an original owner, I guess I copied you with my 89 5-spd...

Just send me your info, and I'll stick it on the web site.

I will aatempt to reply to some of the comments.
The car has 107,400 miles on it. It still runs very strong.Probably 95% are road miles. I drove 100 miles a day to work for several years. The car has always been serviced at regular intervals. I have all the records. As to repairs I really don't think Ford would like to hear about that because everytime I took the car to Ford for repair it came back with other problems. Ex.
At 90,000+ miles I took the car to ford to have the clutch replaced, when I got the car back I found problems with my ride control system. I found the shock tower under the hood had been disturbed. I took the car to ford to have a new waterpump installed and when I got the car back the spring housing on the belt tension roller was cracked and had a chunk of metal on the housing missing exposing the spring. About a month later I discovered a leak in the pipe that holds the thermostat. Ford found that the housing was bent and would not maintain the proper seal. Guess who bent it. Its a shame that a manufacturer can build a high tech car but not manage to provide proper training to their mechanics.
I now accompany the car to the dealer and verify all work prior to leaving. This seems to help somewhat. I have lots of horror stories regarding Ford's service. I still drive the car everyday. In closing all the damage to this car has been done by Ford.

I think the blame for the cracked spring tensioner is just on Ford and not the mechanics. Mine is cracked and at the meet I noticed Bryan's was also cracked. Last week I was looking at a picture in the for sale column and noticed it on that XR7.

How have you window motors held up?

The cracked spring did not exist until ford worked on my vehicle.
the cracked spring is a result of the wrench slipping when attempting to replace the belts.
The window motors have not been replaced however the gears for both windows have, they both stripped out within a month of each other.
