I found a throttle cable to replace mine from my 92 5 speed as i wrecked it putting the tranny back in. Anyways...i member on this site sold me one from a 90 5 speed. I called ford and it turns out the two are different. They have two different part numbers, and are different lengths. The 90 cable is 33 1/2" long and the 92 cable is 35 15/64" long. The difference is 1 3/4" shorter. Is this going to affect anything? It seems that it shouldn't matter because both motors were set up the same. Will this 1.75" make it not fit in my 92?? or is it just in the cable routing? I dont want to come up short here.

The 2 points that are important are on the ends, 1.) where it attaches to the t-body bracket to the clip. 2.) Where it attaches to the peddle to the fire wall. The rest of the length should not matter, its just like the brake cable on a bike. Good luck

Ford says the only difference is the length.....i hope they're right. And if the ends are right...I hope i dont end up too short.
