will a supercoupe automatic tranny bolt into where a n/a 3.8 auto currently resides? are they physically the same (elec. connections bolt holes etc.)? i assume they are stronger than the n/a v6, but are they stronger than the v8 trans? for that matter will the v8 aod bolt into my v6? i fear a rebuild is on the horizon for the lx and i want to be prepared. i am speaking of the 93 v6 aod specifically. thank you for your help.

An AOD is An AOD! I've done it. You just might have to swap the shift linkage arm. and make sure you adjust the TV cable!!! or you'll burn it up!

you can't use the AODE.

well, and AOD may be an AOD externally, and yes i think it will bolt up (i believe the 3.8 is the same bellhousing pattern as the 5.0) but they are different internally.....so you will be fine, just don't put an AOD from a n/a 3.8 behind and SC or a 5.0....

that is kind of what i figured i just wanted confirmation. now which is stronger internally, the aod behind a sc or one behind the v8; or are they the same?
