trak-lock rebuild + gears quickie

If I just want to rebuild the trak-lock will it mess up the ring and pinon mounting requiring them to be reset at a shop?

No. Just put the carrier shims back on the same side you take them out from.

Great, exactly what I wanted to hear.

New FMS gears would have to be set though, correct?

If you change the ring and/or pinion, or remove the pinion nut, then they need to be setup.
