EGR delete

remove the EGR tube. Block off the EGR bung on the passenger header. BLock off the egr connector on the back of the intake. Then you can either leave the EGR electronics in place, or remove them and have you a chip burned that tells the EEC that there is NO EGR. That will keep you from getting a check engine light.

Mine doesn't. I've been without EGR for 15k miles. I dont even have the chip reprogrammed yet, so I have the annoying CE light on all the time. I runs fine and gets good gas mileage (27mpg hwy) so I have no complaints.

if you leave the electronics in place, then you WONT get the CEL.

If you remove the electronics then you will need the chip burned to kill the CEL.
