EGR delete?

1. I guess it's physically possible by removing the tube and closing the holes someway.
2. It's illegal because you're altering emission control equipment and risk getting a ticket
3. There's probably no performance gain anyway.

To complete it properly, I think that you would need a custom chip or an EEC Tuner to alter the computer functions to work without the EGR system.

we turned my EGR off via the EEC tuner, still got a code but I just plugged the sensors back in and the code went away, the tube is gone but the sensors thingys are there just plugged in, so it looks like I have EGR :)

This is not to enhance performance, but to try and trouble-shoot the car. It is not running at 100%.
Thanks, Steve

I will be getting a MP Inlet Plenum, to get one with an EGR fitting it is $50.00 US more.

If I get a plenum with no EGR fitting, left the EGR valve unbolted, and got Fred to do the EEC thing .........will this work and not throw any codes?

Also, will it pass the emission test?
