mike, yea i usually like doing everything myself, its just going to be hard with no garage to work in, and no tools thats all. yea im really happy with the way the new focus intake turned out. i just got it off of ebay, there are a million on there so just get the cheapest, it is a 99+ sohc focus intake. make sure it is the sohc cause the dohc one is totally different. i couldnt get it to fit into my engine compartment with the filter and everything cause it was too long, so thats why i started riggin it to put into the fender. now that it actaully worked, you might want to put it in there too. ill be in orlando and settled in by the first week in aug if you decide to get the intake and want me to help rig it up like i did mine. i even got some type of funnel aluminum collector that is used in air ducting mounted between my fog lights, then a tube of dryer ducting runs over to my cone filter and then i have another one of those funnel type collectors under my cone so it is kinda a cold air set up. plus that collector under the filter acts like a shield from water that might get sucked up it. it sounds alittle confusing to explain but youll understand what i mean when you see it. brian

Your welcome to use it any time, I love to get dirty so thats a plus. And I workat a lube shop part time so I have access to that garage also, lifts and all. And I have access to air tools engine stands the whole nine. So if you like to get dirty and you can drink a few beers, ok more than a few. itll be fun.

Plus, banging your knuckles doesn't hurt as much inebriated.
Sounds like a plan. That Focus intake idea is pretty nifty. Someone needs to get a broom and sweep in corner... :D

Brian,
Nice to see there will be another SC in the area. I live about 10 minutes from your new residence. If you need any help with the SC, you drop me a line.
As for a good SC mechanic, I know of one. He is a friend of mine and owns a business called "The Ford Shoppe" located in Maitland on Hwy 17-92. He is quite familiar with these cars and knows very well what a pain in the *** they can be. I do all of my own work on the car but only trust him to diagnose the problem.
Also you will be very close to the company "SuperChips". Their shop is right down the road from my office here in Sanford. They may be able to tune your car.
Good luck with the move and hope to meet you soon.
Bryan
