well guys as most of you know im moving up to orlando next week. i have to be there this friday aug first so i can pay my first payments on the aparment and close on it. so i will be down there if any one wants to go to the track. let me know. brian

Weather permitting, i'll be there that night Brian, my wife and I are bringing some young (13 & 17 year olds respectively) friends from Massachusetts down to see the drags.

I won't be driving the SC there though, but if I see your car there I'll look you up and say hey.

I would go if it weren't for the fact I gots to pick up the parents from the airport. Any time there are several SC's at the drags and I'm in town I'll go just to spectate and BS. Maybe even one day I might take the Cobra down the 1/4 mile just to see what it may do.

Mike, it was clear to me and my friends that you have a LOT of HP & torque in that car for what you have in it, and that you just can't get it to the ground. Hell, that last run when your friend drove, I swear he spun for 2 full seconds. So get it to hook clean and you're already at around high 14's- 15 flat at LEAST.

Personally, after watching SC's run at the track for many years, I see that car in the mid 14's with it's current power, mayber even a 14.3.

I'm not blowing smoke up your a$$, just my observation on that takeoff and the observed power. It's just getting lost in axle hop and spin.

Talk to the 5 speed gurus at TBU and SCCoA and get some ideas. I'm betting some will echo what we told you last night. But, you can never have too much information on these cars.

What were your trap speeds? Those are the real indicators right there, spinning of the line just increases your 1/4 time, but trap speed usually is about on the mark no matter how you start the race.

I was spinning like crazy until I put some BFGoodrich drag radials on. At the track I run with 14lbs of pressure and get great traction. Does the track you go to put that stuff VHT I think it's called down? Where I go if it's not put down nothing will help you stick.
