Hi guys,
I know I'm a little off topic, but my emails didn't seem to get through. Can any of you point me in the right direction as to who contact about finding out more about the SCCoNE and possibly joining? I'm a member of the SCCOA, but I've been looking for something a lot closer. I live in Groton, CT and so far the only event I have been able to attend was Carlisle 2003. Most everything else is too far away for me to attend without making advanced travel plans. I don't know if I'll be able to make the FFW at the New England Dragway, but I'm going to try.

SCrazy,
Congrats on getting your engine back!! Hope you got that hardship discount you were looking for.

There really is no way of joining. I think most of us just say we are members. I had started the website last year thinking that it would at least put us on the map and bring some people out in the area. Jeff, who is in Cumberland, RI was the 1st NE'er I met. Before that I knew no-one in the area who had an SC. He and I along with others started corresponding and little by little our community started to grow.
I started the website, and at one point we had a lame little duscussion forum that I setup on the website, but seeing we got the SCCOA to offer one, I scrapped it. Anyone can email me pictures and I will setup another page of member pics, but so far no-one has. We had about 20 member pics and info on their cars, but I haven't seen any of those people on the boards anymore and thought maybe they lost interest or sold their cars. I re-did the website again a couple of months back and haven't touched it since. I'll start a new thread asking for pictures and info on people's cars if they are still interested.
If you are interested email pictures, year, and modifications done to your car and I can post it on the site.

thanks,

Hi rednight, it always great to here from a SC fan. I live in Middlefield CT not far from you. Jeff did a great job with a SC meet in RI he had 10 cars there. To set up a mini meet when everyone can come is hard. What I think works good is what I try to do post on the SCCoNE web page when I am going to a car show or a cruise night then if someone wants to come they know that there is at least one other SC there. And there is no hard feeling if people dont show up, anyone can do this. This week is the Wallingford CT, Wal-Mart cruise night I always try to go it`s put on by a Ford club ( I will post there web page). If no other SC`s come, there will be 150 200 other great cars there to look at. In the past I have asked the ford club if I could set up a spot for all SC to park together. I can, so if we did get a few SC to come we could park as a group. On there web page they even have a phone # to check if the cruise is on that night how easy is that, PETE.

I'm going to try, Pete. I'm going to be in Newport, RI for the day on Sat. and I'm not sure what time I'll be getting back. It's my friend's last weekend before going back to school, so my parents and I are taking her and her sister to Newport. Hopefully I can make it though.

How's it running ? Cam train quiet ? Should have just a bit of "yammer" but no ticking/clacking.

Fast enough ? :D

Brian:

The filter is a fuel filter which is connected in the PCV line between the PCV valve and the inlet plenum. Hopefully it will collect some of the oil that gets sucked up from the motor. However, I have already changed the filter you see in the pic since that one got warm, the plastic got soft, and it collapsed in on itself. I found a glass one with a replaceable element that I put in it's place.

Fred:

I finally got the exhaust hooked up and all is well. The valvetrain is nice and guiet with just a little mechanical noise but no ticking. It runs really well and I can't wait to get it broke in.

A bit of a storie about my tip to get the exhaust installed. I'll post it seperately.
