Well I got the plastic tray down without too much difficulty. You can get the two nuts on the passengerside with an 11mm stub wrench - once loose, they spin off with your fingers, then you can drop the plastic panel.
I fastened my amp to the metal above with short self tapping screws, and then tywrapped the ARC computer and relays to the steel above their original location.
I would recommend this as it is a reasonable gain in trunk space.
