One month old(about). Currently on my car.
2.5" down tubes.
2.5" high flow cats
3.5" core x-pipe
2.5" 14" MagnaFlow mufflers
Looking for $1000.
The sound has mellowed out quite a bit and does sound ok now (or I'm just used to it), but with my headers collector being 3", I want to put 3" cats on and do a different design.

Kirk
I would have to say hmmmm, but the timing is not good for me.
Is the system stainless?
Just how loud is it ?
I can hardly bring myself to change my system as it is basically brand new (9900 miles) however I am certainly aware of the restrictions.

Peter,
You could always store the original stock system, like at your shop?!?!?! ;)
Cheers,
Sean

Peter,
It is a stainless system and is smooth sounding until you honk on it. When I got it, the sound when under load was somewhat tinny, but it has since mellowed out to a smoother tone.
I hear you with changing the system. I want to change my system as I explained earlier but I can't quite bring myself to do it without salvaging something from this one first. Oh well, we'll see.

Going true-duals, Kirk?!?!?! ;)

Matty,
It is a true-dual(with an x-pipe) system. Hence the x-pipe. :D

Sorry, Kirk. I must have missed that. I saw the 3.5" and assumed you meant a single 3.5" pipe between the resonator and where it split to go to the mufflers.
Guess I shoulda read it thrice! :D
Cheers,
Sean

I'd like to vouch for Kirk's exhaust. I was there when he picked it up and it looks good. The quality is there along with good execution. Someone has got to take advantage, really.

Andrew,
I'm thinking that could be made to fit your car easy enough! What about you?!
;)

Kirk,
If I was going to use those headers for my application at this stage, I think I'd run true dual 3" pipes into 3" high-flow cats, a 3" x pipe, and then through some 20" long Borla XR-1 racing mufflers.
People would hear me coming....that's for sure!
Just thought I'd share.....

Sean, by the time I get the front tubes re-worked to fit my car....just not worth it. Besides, i've already got mufflers if I want to use them. I'm a Flowmaster-baby. Just call me traditional. I'm looking into a different route.

Me dumb V8 owner.
I'm having trouble envisioning what this system looks like.
All stainless steel?
Complete from exhaust manifolds to tailpipe?
4 holes for the O2 sensors and OBD2 sensors?
How many mufflers/resonators does it have? Do the 2 Magnaflows hang at the stock locations before the back bumper?
Has the SCCoO social committee set a time date and place for the next meet?

Kirk, if I may...
I'm NOT going to make a response to the first two sentences.
Yes, all S/S. Front to back.
Yes, manifolds to tail pipes.
The V8 cars have MORE sensor bungs, you'd have to get those added.
Resonator - wuzzat? The '96-97 V8 cars don't have those.
Two mufflers, like most REAL cars.;)
Social commitee? I vote Hooters, but the Harp will do. I'll be in the parking lot installing my new amps. (Scratch that, CU@ crossroads)
Mike, this would be an excellent upgrade for your car....really, you've already got headers.:D

Wellllll, Edna reminded me that since the modular block is about twice as wide as the 3.8 v6, the front part of Captain Kirk's exhaust won't bolt on, soooo, hmmmmm, I have to think about this...
