Ok, guys heres another event that we've been talking about.. Please, if you are going to go, register with them as a club affiliation of SCCOA. If there are enough of us showing on Sunday for the TBird class they might open up an SC class for us but we have to get registered early enough, and make sure of the club affiliation..

In the past I have just registered when I arrived and they set up the class afterwards. But if there is an early registration it might make it easier to have a designated parking area (which has been a problem in the past) Hope the turnout is good.

In the past saturday has been more just to set up parking and some magazines check out the mustangs. I have had very little attention to the t-birds in the past.
I'd say I am planing on going for just sunday, unless work will let me off both days I might drive out for both.
You must make it sunday, saturday is OK but not realy worth alot of trouble unless everyone decides to come.

Well the way I see it we are coming down from the north on this... Dan how about a location for you and Bob if he's going and anyone that would be coming from Jax to meet there at your area??

The folks from Orlando can meet at Hwy 50 and 95 and tack on with the northern crowd headed South.

Jeremy and Brad, what's the most direct route for you guys from the west coast?? I-4 to 417 to Beeline to 95?? Wow, that's going to be one you guys are going to have to tell me what's the best way for you guys to come across the state from there??

I think we have John and JJ are both in Melbourne so we can pick you guys up at say Eau Gallie Blvd and 95..

We just need to figure out start time for the northern group and the western groups coming towards us, consider everyone's travel times from there and come up with some times for everyone to meet at the local designated spots... We do it with the Bike group all the time couldn't be much more difficult with the SCs..

If every one with exception of the ones that I already have the numbers for will send me their Cell numbers in and email I'll put together a phone list for us. In fact if you guys will send me all your phone numbers I'll put together a phone list to distribute to all our SCCOS group, with the cost of cells being so expensive that list distribution would be with the understanding that Cells are last case connectivity and or when we are traviling as a group not for idle chatter unless otherwise stated in the distributed material.. If any one has Nextels send me your direct connect numbers as well and I'll put those on the list also.

I think that is the whole thought... Dan?? BobP?? JeremyV?? Brad?? It's kind of got to start with you guys telling us when you leaving...

actually....I take 75 south to 70 east all the way across, then state road 710 east which is also beeline hwy. that will take you to moroso. I assume brad will take the same way but won't take him as long. It will probably take me about 4 hours, 3 hours if no traffic. (one lane road all the way)

I'm willing to go out of the way to meet up with everyone else. Maybe where 70 meets 95. Thats a pretty big city there and we can all gas up so we wont have to split up on the way there....
We can take 95 south to Indiantown Rd. and then Indiantown Rd west to beeline(sr710) and then go south there and we'll hit moroso on the left hand side.

Someone may want to double check all that because I don't have a real map and was using yahoo which is hard to work with when you have smaller roads.

Let me know what time we want to meet up or what time the show starts. I am slightly familiar with the area....


Moroso is kinda in the middle of no where and theres no where to close to meet up. Maybe we could run the same route that the steeda guys do on saturday?

First thing is; I don't know why anyone thought I was coming to begin with! LOL, I never said I was in this thread...at this point it would be and outside spur -of -the -moment thing for me, because the wifus and I were originally going to the mountains around that time. I'm pretty sure Bob isn't going either ( we mentioned it a while back). Things can change with this much lead time though.

FWIW, Our mountain trip has been postponed, so...I will stay on the fence probably up till mid-October on this one. But rest assured, if I decide to go, I will hook up with whatever caravan goes on Sunday. :)

P.S. Some of it depends on if I get new tires by then. I'm disinclined to drive 3+hours with little tread and some highway wheel imbalance (no sense getting them balanced now since they're about toast anyway). I've been spoiled by the Lex i'm afraid. :)

I don't remember mentioning Moroso via email, but I was probably referring to a SC (local) meet in Oct/fall and around O-Town. I will tell you that i'm considering Moroso now, hopefully I can get some new tires and the weekend free and join you guys.

BTW, thanks for asking about the wifus. She's in some pain and has trouble getting around, but it's getting better every day.

It was a bad scene when the doctor removed the bandage from her foot though-it took some skin with it. She screamed loud enough to be heard in Port Orange.

im kinda with Dan i never really said I was gonna go i was just giving ideas but it is a fun show and i would like to make it but money (trying to start my own buss.) and I would like to be working on my SC by then.

When I go over there I usually leave here on Friday and spend time with cousins in West Palm on Saturday and go to the show on Sunday.

Boy Jeremy you take the LOOOONG way over there I take 75 to 80 in fort myers to 27 then make a left in Belle Glade (not sure of the road but theres a sign to west palm) go past the jail turn right on southern blvd. Ive done it in 2:45 and kept it under 100

Theres a better way getting off in Port Charlotte but the last time i took it, it was under const. but its even faster

Brad, what kind of biz you starting? Best of luck with it, I give you tons of credit to be trying something new in this economy.

RJ, yeah, there's never enough $$$ to do everything that needs to be done no matter how well one is doing, but it looks like I'll be able to slap some new rubber on the SC by Moroso, just haven't decided if I want to get up at 6 a.m and get home near 11 p.m. because that'd be that kind of day for me with the 4 hours each way.

Yeah i guess starting something now isnt the smartest but im keeping my current job till this takes off i still have some things to buy but im taking Real Estate photos for realtors and designing brochures and flyers for mailings ive done a few and its alot of fun ive been doing pictures for the realtors where Pam works for now and im waiting for the virtual tour equipment for my camera to become avalible then i will take it to other offices
i will have some neat equipment and software for taking some interesting pics at meets

it dynoed 468 rwhp and 502rwt with only 10#'s of boost. and ran a best time of 11.44@117mph, bad thing is that it hasnt ran right ever since i dynoed it, ill prolly bring my 95 sc with me to the show. it has a set of heads, cam, headers, full exhaust, 10% pulley, ect...i just painted it yesterday so i shoild have it looking pretty good by then. i did a ghost flame look on it. The 95 has that factory purple pearl paint, where it changes from purple/blue/green. Sounds like its gona be lot of fun and yall can count me in.

Hey Flip, no problem, I think we are going to caravan down, at least some of us. Dan is still up in the air I believe.. Joyce and I were talking about going down on Saturday and getting a hotel but I really would like to see a caravan of those of us that can..

Time is growing nearer and we need to get a plan together folks, my contact list for the group is growing but I still don't have accurate phone / cell numbers and I haven't gotten a lot of feed back on release of some of this info to folks within our own groups.. I'd like to produce a small internal newsletter for our group, or at least get something in the works, it would be an email news letter and we don't have to deal with addresses and such. But I need a little more input from everyone. This meet is one of those kind of deals where Nextels or cells will benefit us in our travels...

I have a feeling it's that the wire connecting the engine to the battery...or the fuel injectors/pump. I had the same problem with my 90 XR7.

It has a brand new battery, but there is an electrical problem. The engine wants to start...and it wants to turn over...but nothing.

I come to the east side about twice a week to take care of my horses... I think Flip is on the west side of town along with several others. I'm sure we could get you up and running before the meet..

I'll be over south of the Executive Airport all weekend helping my Aunt and Uncle pack up to move back to Ill. but I might find some time to get away and do a quick look see at yours if your close...

I'm just pissed. I just bought the damn car. I just hope the damn block didn't go or pistons/rods blew through the block.

ThunderStruckSC, Any other symptoms? You could sort the tech files and find some things to look for. Ours did that 3 weeks after we purchased and I found out that when it was trying to crank the small shift light was coming on. Which kind of pointed us to the crank sensor, changes that out and cured the problem. I was able to get it started to get it home by rolling it and letting out the clutch, which roll the motor over a little and got the sensor in a different position. Boom fired right up ran great all the way home, but would not restart. So there is allot of good info on the SC web site.

SC Rule number one, as tempramental as these cars can be you can't be pissed... What were you doing when it died, and like Flip said were there any other symptoms??... there are certain things with these cars that are dead giveaways as to the problems with them...

The fact that you just bought it is a dead giveaway that someone else owned it that didn't know enough about the cars to make them simple upkeep. They may have had the same experience recently with it.

If your out by UCF that puts you in the middle of about 6 of you within about 5 miles or so...

Beedogg91, gregthespy, lessonintouque, superchicken89, and of course I was there, moved up here to the coast about a year ago, lived there behind UCF for 20 years...

A little more info and we can try to get you back on the road...

It has a screwed electrical system. I was just stopped at a light, had it in nuetral, when the car just died. There were some clunking sounds..but that's about it.

I just hope it's not the blocks. I know they're kinda weak.

I've heard "The Ford Shoppe" @ 407-339-5585 has done allot of work on SC's. Have not had them do anything on ours yet. But I believe I got there name from someone here.

I highly recommend "The Ford Shoppe" :) Alan really knows his shi* when it comes to Ford's. They have been the only shop to touch my car in years.

Ok, time is closing in on us folks... Everyone that's going, are we caravaning down on Sunday morning or what?? I see about 2:30Hrs from Ormand beach to Palm Beach.... Dan are you still going and what time are you leaving?? Anybody from Jax going?? For this to work out we have to get our times figured out, and we need the northern most folks to let me know what time your leaving so we can get on the highway and wait.. I'll just run down to 50 and 95 and wait with whoever is coming from Orlando over... I think we'll picking up John Machen in Melbourne, possibly 192 and 95??

Well we are planning on making the trip down on Saturday afternoon and staying overnight. I think it would be too much to ask for 2 women (1 adult woman and 1 woman in training) to be ready to roll on Sunday morning before 8:00 am. So we will need to have a place to meet on Sunday morning outside Moroso Motor Sports Park so we can cruise in as a group.
Lets get some input from all attending so we can get organized.

There was a bad ignition module and crankshaft positioner sensor.

Well guys, looks like I won't be there for this one , my tranny went on me saturday. Not sure what happened but I only have 1st and reverse. Took down the pan and valvebody, checked all the springs and check balls. That's about as far as I go with tranny's. Thought about taking it out and taking it to a shop but there is HUGE gas tank covering the driveshaft. Sorry guys, maybe next time.

While you have the valve body down, check the 2-3 accumulator for damage. On these AOD's they are plastic and get damaged very easily. This was the culprit that caused the failure in my AOD. I decided to rebuild and upgrade mine when all I really had to do was replace the 2-3 accumulator! You may just get lucky.
If you decide to remove the tranny yourself, unbolt the differential and let it drop down so the drive shaft can clear it. This will save you from having to remove the fuel tank. 4 bolts are all you have to remove to facilitate this. Good luck!

haven't heard anything else from anyone over there in Orlando or North of Dan, I'm assuming that Sunday morning if Dan and Kevin go, they will leave there around 6 pick me up at Hwy 50 and 95 about 7 and we should be in the area a little before 9AM which is when registration opens... John won't be going with us but is going, and Jeremy can't get off this weekend so he won't be going, Jake has a blowed tranny so won't be going..

BTW its $20 to show for 1 day, there is a sat show but its pretmuch just mustangs and their magazines, has been prety limited in the past.
