Very low miles and in like new condition. 75mm steel with chrome finish. A great addition to a chrome intake tube. $250

Wayne,
Which injector size is that MAF calibrated for?
Thanks,
Sean

It is calibrated for stock size.
Will fit 89-93 with 30's, or 94/95 with 36's.
It will work fine with EEC tuners as well.

Wait a minute. How can it be programed to run with 2 different size of injectors? I had though the the MAF's would have to been calibrated to EACH size of injectors. Just asking, I have a that SAME unit, where was this 3 weeks ago???

Ryan,
...That's why you can use the stock 70mm MAF from a '93+ car on an earlier model even though the early models use 30 lb/hr injectors, and the later models use the 36 lb/hr injectors.
There's not enough difference to require a recalibration of the MAF.
Cheers,
Sean

Well I had also though the stock 70mm units have a # on the sensor part of the MAF telling you what years they will work for. I know bruce went threw this not to long ago, maybe he could jump in on that.
As for the 75mm units, I would not want to trick the CPU any more that we would be with those things. I took that from reading Pauls post on a thread last week, talking MAFs and what not.

Ryan, what Wayne meant is that the Pro-M MAF is calibrated to work with stock injectors in any year SC ... so 89 - 93 with 30s, or 94 - 95 with 36s. Ford used the same MAF and sensor from 1991 up, they just changed the PCM calibration for the larger squirters.

That's the same type of unit as I've had on my SC for about 4 years now, trouble-free.

Interesting...I have 2 of these, one for regular mounting, one labled for fenderwell mounted filter....at least that's what the ProFlo tech said when I questioned him....both cal'd/labled for 30# injectors, neither would work with my car..threw CEL.I have a third ProM cal'd for 24# and it worked fine,so I had my chip programmed w/the 24# Mustang curve and the car runs great.Any ideas/explanations/comments appreciated,as you can see I've got some money tied up in ProM mafs.

Sounds odd. You'd think it shouldn't be a problem. You mentioned the CEL - WHICH code(s)? Voltage too high, too low? Also, it might sound irrelevant, but, did you purchase this MAF new (ie, custom tuned for you car) or was it a used unit that did work on someone else's car? Apparently, Pro-M needs all specific info on the car to tune the electronics properly (just what i've heard from them) and it is supposed to make a difference. You say you've got money tied up with them, so i'm assuming you bought new - why not return the first one, tell them it's NFG?
When I first installed my C&L I got a code the first time I went WOT - couldn't compensate the A/F ratio because the car was too lean. A little tuning later and it hasn't been a problem since.
Just a thought.

Also, I seem to recall that the proper sampling tube for a C&L 76mm MAF happens to be the 'Stang 24lb tube, when you're running stock injectors in an SC (30lb). That seems awefully coincidental. Perhaps the Pro-M units you've got are actually calibrated for 30lb injectors in a 'Stang, not an SC. I'm guessing that would be appropriate for an SC with larger than stock injectors, but I'm not sure what size.

Sean,
The Mustang 19# tube is for the Thunderbird 30# injectors.
The Mustang 30# tube is for Thunderbird 42# injectors.
(and 24# is for 36, and 36# is for 50, I think)

Ahh, that's it. Thanks, Bill.
So, maybe those MAF's you've got which are labeled for 30# injectors would work for some of the SC'ers running 42# injectors?!
...That might allow you to offload the two spares, z90sc.
Otherwise, what does Pro-M charge for recalibration of one of their MAF's?
I think this has got to be one of the worst hijackings that I've seen on our forums!
Does anyone want to buy Wayne's spare MAF?!?!?!
...Sorry, Wayne.
Best regards,
Sean
