CNC Billet P/S Pulley (It's a go)

Ok, folks, I have pictures of what they will look like. It's a 2-piece design with a press on steel hub and a CNC Billet pulley that will screw onto the hub. The company is willing to produce other pulley designs (that's the nice part about it being 2-piece) so that you can change the look of the pulley if you wish.

The pictures don't show the threads on the hub or pulley.

The price will be between $125-$135 for 10 units. I'm taking orders now so post here if you want one.

Updated News:

I've got the 10 orders. So, anyone wanting one better order soon. The shop is hoping to have a prototype sent to George by next Monday. Then, if George gives his approval, the shop will machine the rest.

Also, Bill McNeil, the shop will weight the original pulley and make it lighter. Now, that's assuming it doesn't comprise the integrity of the pulley. He really wants everyone to be happy.

Vary cool idea you have there I only have one thing to ask what would be the ruff HP gain or the weight of the new pulley.

I have no idea. The stock P/S pulley weights 2 pounds so I would think it would weight a little less than that.

I'm really doing this for cosmetics, in that, I like to show my car as well as others around here. Anything else is just gravy.

I'm looking for weight savings over looks. Let me know the weight difference, and then I'll jump on the bandwagon.

Hey Duane, are they going to do differnt colors for us?? Are they going to match the other pulleys your working on there?? If they are put me on for One for now...

RJ

Richard,

As far as colors, yes, but cost wise it's cheaper to do them all anodized red and so on. We did talk about it but most anodizing shops have a minimum, which is, usually $50 per color. For now, the face will be polished unless everyone wants theirs anodized red then it would be cost effective to send them out to be anodized. Make sense?

Everything from this shop will match if, and only if, we can get the 10 units sold. I can't convice the shop to do other things if I can't even get the P/S pulley to sell.

Cool, polished is good for me, put me in boss... Is there anyway to seal those so they don't turn into just normal old aluminum looking and will stay polished?? Just a thought, mine is a daily driver ya know... The 35th is going to be the garage queen, when I get to that point I'd want them that electric looking blue.... :D :D Just wishing I know!!

Richard,

That's a possibility. This shop has been looking into some process that will keep the luster of the part after it's been polished. Not sure where they are on it. I'll check on it. It's been something I've been meaning to ask him once he told me about it.

Good question. The shop owner did tell me that once the CNC program is written, they can always make more since the program is saved. The question is, at what price. I would expect the price to increase if it's just one at a time.

Payment can be made by PayPal or calling the company directly and giving them your credit card number.

I will post the details here when George has finished his testing. I would anticipate production will start two weeks from now and you can place your order then.
