Hello everyone, just wanted to thank everyone for your help with my 89. My balancer broke and all of you pointed me in the right direction. I just got the broken piece off today so she should be running tomorrow. I used a portable propane torch to heat the collar and it slid right off. SC's rule!!!

There is an oil seal in there around the opening through the timing cover. Make sure it is still in good shape after the heat from the torch.

Good to hear you're upbeat about it. unfortunately it seems most of us with SC's will have to go through replacing that part.
