My name is Robert and I'm new around here. I was wondering if anyone was in the Orlando area. I was registered here a couple of years ago but sold my nightmare ,90SC, but now I have another so I guess a new saga will begin.

There are quite a few guys near you. I'm over near Daytona myself, but hopefully we'll meet at one of these SC/Ford meets in the near future.

I Hope this 'Bird is a good one for you, kudos for giving them a second chance. DAN H

Also I'll forward the info to JJanney and get him to update our SCCOS members Web page.

Thanks guys for the welcome. Didn't mean to bail on you but as soon as I posted the air went out on my old 90SC that I sold to my buddy. I got rid of it to be rid of it, we had a really bad karma together, so now when it breaks I go fix so he won't sell it.

I guess I got SCminoid bad.

It's a 90, black on red, fully loaded(including cell phone), with 245,000 miles on it. The first two months cost me 4500. So I bought a 350 TA, and the SC sat for 9 months until my buddy needed a ride with air."$500 and take it", I tell him, he does. That was a year ago! And he's put two tires on it, replaced one switch and I just went a recharged the air and the thing runs like a champ!!! Baaaaad Karma with that one and me.

This time is a little different because I'm starting out with a 95 5spd with 51k. Perfect interior, blue on blue, bone stock. Needs tires, may have a wobble in one wheel, one headlight is loose, 4 dings from a hail storm( gotta look for 3) and unfortunetly the front bumper cover has been replaced, no SC!!!. So it's not perfect but sooo sooo smooth.

You have gotta love a good running SC.

Good to know someones close. I'm actually in Winter springs NE of Orlando. LessonInTorque sounds real close, Kamakazie is 35 mins and onequicksc is 45 mins, nice. Look forward to a meet soon. Thanks again for the hola.

Hey Robert, the 91 and up didn't have the SC embossed in the front bumper cover, it was only in the back... So the front probably hasn't been changed, that's the way they came... I'd really like to get a peek at yours one of these days, mine is a 95 also, just Automatic your's is much more rare...

talk to you soon...

Bryan, nice to meet you. All of you for that matter. I'm at 434 and Hayes road, 6 lights east of 17/92 off 434. Been here for about 16 years now, Been in the Orlando area for about 20yrs, born and raised on the beach in Cape Canaveral. Oviedo huh? Whereabouts? I've been doing service work out there for about 12yrs now so I know it pretty well. That place has grown pretty quick, especially the Waterford Lakes area. We're so close we gotta hook up sometime, I'd like to see someone elses car. I need some help with exhaust, wheel fittment (18's) and with an adjustable ride height drop. Let me know when and where and I'm there. Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks again also to Dan, RJ and Mike.

RJ, I pretty much gave up on the notion of a pool party BBQ here because of the stinkin' weather. If you think there's a better than 10% chance of getting it in without rain i'm more than willing to reconsider.

You can come up anytime for the tranny, and if i'm going to be heading to the track in the next couple weeks, I'll bring it to ya on the way (not in the Lex though :) )

Nice to meet you! I'll update the webpage as soon as I am able to access it (could be a few days). When I moved, I confused the school server up so I do not have permission anymore.

I'll update everyone when I have a chance.

Robert, I'm here on the north side of Oviedo. Lived in the area for 25 years now. Yea I can remember when Oviedo was a small farming community and everyone knew each other. I presently reside in the Bentley Woods subdivision back behind Oviedo High. My family has owned a home out by Lake Jessup for 70 years now.

Lets get together sometime in the near future being we are so close!

Man that's scary, when I worked up there in Winter Springs and cleared and did the dirt work for Sable Springs housing there weren't 6 traffic lights east of 17-92 unless you were counting the ones for Tuskawilla and the first one going into Oviedo after black hammock...

Man, things grow too quick in 25 years!!!

:D

Now I really feel new. Bentley Woods, at Lk. Jessup and Artesia? Manchester,Yorkshire,Wellington, Rochester or Bentely streets? I'm 9mins from any of them. Now tell me you have a Rainsoft and I'll really feel like I'm in a small world! I seviced them for 12 years in that area, that's how I know Bentley Woods sub. I just resigned from there so my schedule is open, just doing alot of side jobs now at my leisure (someone always needs a plumber) so whenever your up for a meet I can be there. 407-810-2844.

Hey RJ, Black Hammock doesn't even come out to 434 anymore. You have to take De Leon st. to get to BHr now. That curve has been well rounded also, it's alot more fun at 70 now, easier on the car too. Things do change quickly though in this area.

Nice to meet you JJanney, Thanks.

Robert, I live on Wellington Ave. but I don't have a Rainsoft water softener.

The only way in or out of the Hammock has always been Deleon St. from SR 419/434. That is the same way it was back in 1938 according to my dad. The house I mentioned that has been in our family for 70 years is located just up the road from the Black Hammock Fish Camp. If anyone of you guys has been down to the fish camp then you have cruised right by the house and my shop. That is one area that hasn't changed much in the last 25 years but that may change soon unfortunately

Never knew BH never came out to 434. I've always known it to be Deleon st. Just thought maybe when RJ did work out there it may have... maybe before my time.

Sorry.

Not a big deal Robert, sorry if I sounded short in that answer, been the week from hell here at work, I'm ready for a vacation!!!

Sometimes I think going back to running equipment would be much more relaxing, I never had ulcers as I do now... What a stress relief!! Cat bulldozer with a 14' blade!!! just push it, what ever it is!!!

I didn't read into it like that at all. I ***-med something I shouldn't have...notice no u...I'm learning. I'll just be careful of what I say from here on out, especially when its about others. I don't want to start off on the wrong foot with anybody, so I do apologize.

Peace

I must of missed something, I didn't see anything wrong there, I just re-read my post and felt that I was possibly a little short in my answer. Didn't mean to be, I don't think there are too many here that are two easily offended by much, hell the last get together they actually put up with this old redneck so trust me everybody here are good ol boys and girls...

You said your 95 was the blue with a purple hue to it?? You mean the camillion color?? That's the same car that John Machen's father just picked up... That's unusual to have two 95 5Spds in the same area that are the same color too.... Ya got to get us some pics..

Cool...

RJ

Big and Blown

The brighter blue. The color does act camillion like. Dark blue at dusk, bright blue at noon and then a purplish blue under flourencents/HID at night ( I got gas). It's definetely different...

So there might be another one around here? Cool. It would be nice to have one to compare with... But then again maybe not... Still need to see another though.

This is the only pic I have so far, hope it works.

Man, that's a sharp color, that's the same as my girls GT, she just has the Mach I stripes on her Mustang.. That's not the color I was thinking of though. The 95 5Spds are reportedly very rare and the 95 5Spd with that purple camellion color is suposed to be the rarest. John's Dads car is much more purple and as you walk around it it changes colors on ya..

Here's a picture of John's family's collection, one of his dad's 35th and the camellion, and his brothers, John has a really fine Black 94 with a cowl hood on it.. Now this is a true SCing family, just one is enough to break a normal person's bank, poor Dad.... both of his and both of his boys!!!

The picture is a little darker than it is, definetley doesn't look like the one in that picture as you can see. I emailed Ford to see exactly how many 95 5spds were produced in that color, or for any other color for that matter, but they couldn't do anything for me. Too many combinations to keep those kind of records I was told. Back in 1995? Seems like it would be on some sort of drive, disk, floppy, tape or folder. They did manage to tell me that 117,341 T-birds of all makes and models were produced that year. 574 of 117,341 is .45%? I guess that is pretty rare out of all the T-birds.

4 in that family!? I think I already have the next 6 months of income spent on mine, sidejobs galore! With 4 I don't think I'd eat. So is there a reason why more people don't have 18" rims on there cars. Cost is high and fittment sucks for any 5x4.25 pattern I've found... I didn't know if I might be missing something. Do they make any bearing presser/remover for these hubs that I don't have to remove the spindles from the car? I used to have for VW.

Is your girls GT a 98? I WILL own a 98 Cobra R one day. But until then I have some droppin', stuffin' and openin up to do on this one! You going to Bithlo Saturday night?

Later

Hey Robert, we have the show at Florida Mall on Saturday afternoon, with all the weather around we might get rained out but I'll be there either way. I think it was from 3-8PM.. I'm also a member at the "Ford Truck World" site and there are a bunch of the guys suposed to be there with their trucks too, so I'm taking my monster too.

I know fast Ed has 18" wheels on his and there are several out there that do. I don't see my self going more than 17's... I want a set of Chrome Motorsport Rs to put on my 95, and I'm redoing the 35th as original as I can so it will have the factory wheels on it if I can find a set in decent condition.

My girls Car is a 97 GT Automatic, the kid that had it before her did some stuff to it, she won't let me touch it to see what it is that he did. But I've noticed tower braces and the panels down by the ECC have been messed with. It's really a quick little car for the GT, launch is unusually quick, I think the gears have been changed in it too. That's her daily driver, I'm afraid I'd be divorced if I was to mess it up.. I took it up to the Fun Ford weekend in Ocala with a few of our SC group first of the year..

Here's a picture that day..

The weather doesn't look good for you guys but you never know around here, especially between 3- 8 p.m! I do hope all goes well, I may even show.

At this point I'm probably going to wait until I can do a big brake conv. and change to the 5x4.5 pattern before I settle on wheels. The brakes haven't been done on this car since new, well not fully, so I might as well wait a few more weeks and do it right. Of course I'm at the point that if I'm going to have that apart I might as well do this too... H&R,TokicoII's,polys,Raxles,Mark VIII pumkins,Tru-locks,3.23's,more polys and so on. All in due time...

Sweeet GT, gotta love that color. Won't let ya touch it huh? Just tell her that she probably couldn't handle the extra power anyway!, even though she probably can, and see what happens...ego thing. And yes I MUST be single.

I thought I saw a set of 35th's on e-bay. Don't personally like the place but then I've never bought anything off either, so no real experience. Ready to buy?

Robert
