I'm replacing the transmission in my '91 and I'm having a problem getting the hydraulic line off of the slave cylinder. The manual I have sais to press in on the white ring while gently pulling the hydraulic line. It's not working for me at all. Any secrets on getting this biatch out?

I know, it's aggravating but you have to make sure that little white sleeve is all the way in. Gotta check to see that it's in all the way around too. Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to work all the way around to press/slide the sleeve in, try not to bugger up the sleeve, a little bit of WD40 might help if there's some grit/dirt around the fitting. If ya hold yer mouth just right, next thing ya know the fitting will slip out with no resistance whatsoever.

Keep tryin', it'll come out.
