Seeing as though the Northerners are a bit shady on wether or not they want to have a Fall Bakersfield Meet, what say we plan to make the FFW in Palmdale (LACR). Bet we could convince some more people to make it and suppport the NON Mustang Fords :D
1st Annual Pacific FFW
Los Angeles County Raceway - Palmdale, CA
November 1 & 2, 2003
FFW Website (http://www.funfordevents.com/2003/Media/press_detail.php?articleid=26) is found here.
Just throwing something in the air to find out the itnerest.

I know, the track being so high bugs me too. I've never been there either but doubt there will be much, if any, racing on those days anyway. I used to love running out in Sacramento, it's the perfect track. Sea Level, temps drop way down at night, concrete launch pad and has events or test n tune every weekend. Now all I got is CA Speedway whenever they run or Irwindale but I want 1/4 mile times.
LACR sucks!! I was there in '01 with my Dak R/T for a Sport Truck magazine featrue. Was hot(middle of summer) and zero track prep what so ever. Plus the altitude is a huge killer. Even with slicks, I could break 15.5 at that track, and I was used to turning 14.7 in Sac and at Carlsbad at that time. Carlsbad is a good track. Kinda run down, but very comparable E.T. wise to Sac Raceway, at least for my truck it is.

It's what they chose. Besides, it's still good for a meet!

No funny pictures, but a bump nonetheless. It looks like they plan on going forward. As long as we keep lit up, at least our air will be filtered ;)

As this is one of your many old stompin' grounds, do you have any place outside the track that will work to meet up at? I'll be coming in on 138. BTW which Bird will be the lucky girl Saturday? The new one could be a contender in the quickest 15 sec bracket (yes there really is one!).

There's a McD on the right as you're getting off the 15 for the 138. Let's meet there. What time?
Lee
BTW: Mike's not gonna make it - he's installing an alarm system on Aaron's Blazer.
I was never down that section of Ave T, so it could have been there 15 years ago & I wouldn't have known. Although I would have thought my buddy Vito would have mentioned it since he's also a car nut.

I don't plan on doing anything other than watching so how about 9:30 (if later is better, just say so)? If you plan on entering we may want to be there earlier though.

I don't think they'll let me run a ragtop without a bar, so I'm just gonna be watching also.
