Hey guys, I am looking for leads on an ABS part. My hydraulic pump is on the fritz and my brakes don't work. I looked around in the parts for sale but the guys either want to much or can't get it here by Friday so I can fix it over the weekend (must be fixed by Monday or I am screwed). So it looks like I will be combing the Junk Yards this weekend. I saw that Carlos and maybe others will be in Willmington I think, but that is 80+ miles from me. If there is a definate chance of getting the part, I will drive it though. Any one have any junk yard leads or suggestions?

Anthony: You live up my way, any good junk yards that might have the part?

Any help would be appreciated guys! Also, Al weren't you looking for an ABS part? If it is one I can pick up for you let me know.

The one SC that was there at the wilmington yard Lee, Mike and I went to had it. I don't recall seeing th emileage but the hg's were blown (reason it was taken to the jy) so it might have little miles on it.

PS If you find a pair of Oakley XX sunglasses (black frame blue lens) they are mine :(

Al, thanks for the info. Couple questions, when did you guys go? Also didn't you need an abs part? Let me know, I think my only option right now is scrounging junk yards (pick a parts and ecology so that I don't have to pay high $$$) for parts this sat or sunday.

Any one with any other info would be greatly appreciated!! :)

P.S. Al, can I sell you a nice pair of Oakley's I found at the junk yard! ;) Just kidding.

We went last weekend, we were wrenching on Lee's Silver Terd :p Anyway, yes I do need an ABS system as mine is old and tired. I might pony up the cash for a nice Prior Remanufacturing reasembled one. www.priorreman.com I think; its on the links section.

Yeah, that is way out of my price range and time frame right now, but would be nice. If you could, could you tell me what junk yard it was and where exactly? Thanks man!

There are a number of yards in the San Bernadino/Fontana area and Manny's usually up on what's there.

I'll PM you his e:mail address.

The yards over here are SCless. I agree with Lee, Manny has info on most of the Riverside/SB yards.

Anthony

P.s. Keep in mind that 93 was the changeover year for the ABS...you will need an 89-92.

Thanks Lee and Anthony-
I emailed Manny, we will see what happens. Also, Anthony, I was told that this brake system was on a number of different cars, including the n/a birds. So I would be looking for anything that I could. Hopefully manny can give me some insight or I will be wildly running from one junkyard to another on Saturday.

I don't know about the pump but there certainly were changes from 92-93. Not all N/A had ABS and I am unsure about compat. there either...I guess I don't know much at all:o---no surprise there!

Anthony-
I had Fast Ed N check the p/n's and compatability and he said that 89-92 SC's, 89-92 n/a's with ABS, 89-92 Cougars, some 84-88 Turbo Coupes, Mark VIII's, and a couple others used the same setup. So I was hoping for anything like this. Ecology's and Pick Your Parts are probably my best bet and best deals. I have one by my work in Oceanside that I will check Friday, then probably head North on Sat. early AM.
