Don promised me the first meet we'd have one down near me. Well, three months later, here it is. April's meet is going to be in Hazlet, NJ, at exit 117 off of the Garden State Parkway. There's a Friday's there with a huuuuge ~~~ parking lot that is never filled, even on Friday and Saturday nights. What day would be best for all of you? The lunchtime meetings seem to be best, so we can get some good quality pictures while it's still light out, and hang out for some time after that.

I was thinking the weekend of the 27th would be best. Englishtown is having their 20th Annual Spring Swap Meet and Auto Show. It's running from Friday-Sunday, so any day you guys want to meet would be great.

We can meet up at around 11AM for an early lunch and then car pool over to Englishtown (about 20-25 mins from Friday's) and perhaps enter the show and get some word out about the NJTaCC!

Well guys, I have been waiting for this!!!! Englishtown swap meet!!! Here's the deal, Meeting on the 13th I thought would be best. One reason, Talk about upcoming car shows and OUR FIRST CRUISE NIGHT!!!! Second, see who needs what at Englishtown. I also thought it would be easier than having to have all our S.C.'s going to e-town and slumming parts back in them.

My feeling was to get everyone on the same page and get us all together for E-town swap meet. Anyone not familar with this; it is where people bring their old parts and new parts and such and sell them. It also has a lot of other "stuff" that people are into such as stereo equipment and literature. I think we all should go. I am going to E-mail Dwayne unless Jim O. can get me a 'ON PAPER' copy of our logo to make up hats. We could wear these to E-town.

Anyway, Jim is hoping to have the website up by April meet and then we can get up up and running. The 13th is our best bet I think. Time???? Post up suggestions!!! Is 4:00 pm of for everyone?

I really want Mark to make at least one more meeting. Poor guy keeps having to work!!!!

I will post here over the Weekend about the Tech session for detailing. Also happy to report another member, Judy from Rutherford, (Ran the poor woman down!!!) and she was happy to learn there is somewhere to turn for info, she needs drivers motor mount.

So in conclusion:

Meeting April 13th Time????

E-town swap meet: Meet up on Saturday Morning, 8:30-9:00 AM on Rt 9, Complete location to follow.

Tech session for detailing: End of March, Beginning of April.

Also, First car show of the Year: April 21st. Butler Rt23 automall. E-mailing everyone an application if wanted.

Remember, May starts cruise nights!!!!!!

Thanks,

Don O'Neill, Jr.

OK everyone. The April Meeting is set for April 13th at TGI-Fridays, in Hazlet, N.J. It is right off of the Garden State Parkway Exit 117. I will have Jim O'Neill post directions for all to follow.

On the otherhand, Need a count of who is going to Englishtown Swap meet and What day(s). Just want to know who is going down what day. This is a lot of fun when the weather is good. Someone also posted about the car show. ONLY PRE-1987 cars can enter. Oh well.

ok, so we are meeting near me, just on a different day. cool :)

directions:

There really is no other way to get here besides the following. Doesn't matter if you're coming from the south or the north. Take the Garden State Parkway to exit 117. after getting off, take rt. 35 south. go through two or three lights (i'll check the actual number soon) and you'll see Friday's on your right.

don't take the first entrance before Friday's. take the one directly after it and park under the big Pathmark sign. no one ever parks over there so we'll have a nice big section for all the cars.

what time we meetin, don?

the car show but i believe sat is for classics and sunday is for 4x4's and late model cars and trucks but the show prizes suck and averyone kinda disrespects the cars i have seen people throw emty containers between cars and other stupid @#%$ like that so i personally would not enter it is mostley rice and the catagories are so broad that you will most likely be competing agianst a 1992 ford escort and a 93 honda civic. the classes i believe are 70-80 80-90 90-02 for the cars and a best of show tropphy is a pathertic two foot thing. fords at e-town is better in the fall.
